2015 Season

• Did not compete.

2014 Season:

Became a steeplechaser, running the event at the Big Meet (fourth place) and Brutus Hamilton Open (third), both in Berkeley.
• Ran his steeplechase PB of 9:31.90 at the Big Meet.
• Also ran the 5,000 at the Payton Jordan (15:20.29).


Ran 8:28.58 in the 3,000 at the UW Invitational on Feb. 1.
• Was 29th in the MPSF 5,000 (15:01.82).

2013 Season:

• Redshirted, but ran unattached.
• Set 1,500 personal best (3:58.24) at the Mondo Mid-Major Challenge in Sacramento and his 5,000 best (14:50.52) at the Brutus Hamilton meet in Berkeley, Calif.


• Did not compete.

Cross Country:

• Ran four meets in 2013, including as Stanford's No. 7 at the Pac-12 Championships (65th place), and two in 2014.

High School:

• Placed ninth in the 1,600 at the 2012 Central Coast Section championships.
• Competed in three California Division I cross country championships for San Jose’s Bellarmine College Prep with a high finish of 32nd, in 2011.


• Son of Jim and Diane Bordoni.
• Both parents are Stanford graduates.
• Brother Michael was a middle distance runner at Stanford.
• Father competed in cross country and track at Stanford and continues to race in masters events.
• Uncle, Bill Simpkins, played water polo at Stanford.
