STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford softball athletes garnered eight prestigious Pac-12 All-Academic honors, as announced today by the Pac-12 Conference.

Seniors Sarah Hassman (GPA 3.58) and Tegan Schmidt (3.43) earned first team honors. Hassman has been chosen to a Pac-12 All-Academic team for four consecutive years, capturing second team accolades in 2011 and 2012, as well as honorable mention in 2010. Schmidt acquired a boost from last year's honorable mention award.

Second team selections included senior Teagan Gerhart (3.24) and sophomore Hanna Winter (3.52). This marks the first academic honors of their careers.

Senior Jenna Rich (3.18) snags an honorable mention spot for her third consecutive Pac-12 All-Academic accolade. Other honorable mention awardees included junior Corey Hanewich (3.04), her second appearance, and sophomores Cassandra Roulund (3.27) and Nyree White (3.22) make their debut.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
