ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Stanford nearly matched its score from day one of the ICSA Gill Coed National Championship by scoring 128 points Wednesday, but improved from 15th to 10th overall in the final regatta of the spring campaign. Stanford now stands with 257 total points and looks to make another big leap in the standings Thursday with the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy on the line.

Stanford amassed 86 points in the A-Division, bringing its total to 165 points in the regatta. The A-Division unit of Hans Henken, Kevin Laube, Rebecca King and Kelly Ortel advanced to 16th place.

Oliver Toole, Haley Kirk and Helena Scutt competed for the B-Division unit, scoring an impressive 42 points to move them from 11th place on the first day of races to third on Wednesday.

The Cardinal will need another impressive showing on Thursday, the final day of the championship regatta, in order to capture its first coed national title.

College of Charleston held onto the top spot for the second day in a row with 169 total points. Georgetown (185) and Brown (201) rounded out the top three.
