Baumbach, the reigning Pac-12 Champion at 165 pounds, was 23-12 during his junior campaign. The Council Bluffs, Iowa native made his first NCAA postseason appearance, finishing 1-2 in the tournament. His Pac-12 title marked the fourth straight season, a school record, that the Cardinal has produced a conference champion.
Halpin, a walk-on, has seen limited action throughout his career, but continues to provide leadership within the team. In 2012-13 he finished the season 5-7 wrestling at 149 and 157 pounds.
Mango, who redshirted the 2012-13 season, is a two-time NCAA All-American and the 2012 Pac-12 Champion at 125 pounds. Moving up a weight class, the St. Louis, Mo., native wrestled unattached at 133 pounds last season, capturing the Roadrunner Open, the Reno Tournament of Champions and the prestigious Midlands title.
Scherer automatically qualified for the 2013 NCAA Championships after placing fourth at the Pac-12 Championships in Tempe, Ariz. The heavyweight finished the season with a 22-14 overall record.
Stanford's captains were chosen by a combination of votes from the team and the coaching staff.
