At Stanford: A 2013 World Junior Cross Country competitor for the United States. 

2013 Season (Sophomore): Season curtailed by a bout of mono ... ran one race unattached, placing second at the Doc Adams Invitational in Davis, Calif., on Nov. 9 (24:08, 8K).

2012 Season (Freshman): Ran in two meets ... made collegiate debut in the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, as the No. 6 runner for first-place Stanford at high-quality meet ... finished 89th, covering 8K in 24:14 ... also finished fifth at the Doc Adams Invitational in Davis, Calif., running 24:11 for 8K.

International: Placed 40th at the IAAF World Junior Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, on March 24, 2013 ... ran 23:27 over 8K despite getting knocked down and losing his glasses, and suffering a bloody nose ... helped U.S. to a fourth-place finish by running No. 5 on the team ... qualified by placing fifth in the U.S. junior championships, running 24:52.2 in St. Louis.

High School: A nine-time state champion in North Carolina ... won four titles in cross country, three in the 3,200 meters and two at 1,600 meters ... also won a combined nine conference titles in cross country and track ... placed ninth at the FootLocker U.S. Nationals in 2011 and 15th in 2010 ... holds the North Carolina state record in the 5,000 meters of 14:11, which is also 15th all-time in the U.S. ... holds Cary Academy school records for the 1,600 (4:13), 3,200 (8:53), 4x800 (8:00) and the 5,000 (14:11) ... helped the Cary Academy for to four state runner-up finishes in cross country.
