At Stanford: Threat to have a breakthrough season at 800 meters.

2013 Season: Outdoors - Ran in one meet, clocking 3:58.93 in the 1,500 at the Outdoor Opener. Indoors - Anchored the 4x400 relay to 11th at the MPSF Championships (3:18.44) ... placed 15th in the 800 at MPSF's in 1:55.27 ... ran in two meets.

2012 Season: Outdoors - Competed in the preliminaries of the Pac-12 Championships, running 1:53.22 to place 16th overall in the 800 ... ran a season best of 1:53.22 at the Big Meet ... ran the second leg of Stanford's 4x800 relay team that ran 7:32.35 at the Texas Relays. Indoors - Ran a 1:57.74 at the Bronco Invitational ... was part of a Stanford 4x800 team that ran 7:30.25 at the UW Indoor Preview.

2011 Season: Outdoors - Did not compete. Indoors - Ran a season best 800 time of 1:54.16 at the Razorback Invitational.

High School: A three-time Pennsylvania state outdoor champion in the 800 (2008-10) ... won the 2010 PIAA state title in 1:49.31 ... won the 800 indoor state title in 2009 in a meet record 1:51.79, setting a personal indoor record by six seconds ... also won the 1,600 indoor state title in 2010 ... 2009 state champion in the 4x800 both indoors and outdoors ... a three-time All-American ... 2010 Pennsylvania Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year ... two-time Pennsylvania Boys Athlete of the Year (2009, 2010) ... member of the national record-setting outdoor 4x800 team, which posted a time of 7:33:48 ... set state record in the 800 (1:49.01) at the Pennsylvania Distance Festival... captained his track and cross country teams in 2009 and 2010.

Personal: Major is science, technology, and society ... son of Tom and Kelly Mallon ... has a younger sister, Alexandra ... cousins Lindsay and Kelly Robinson played lacrosse at Cornell and Brown, respectively ... cousin Allison Brown played basketball at the University of Vermont ... enjoys hiking, and playing the guitar and drums ... has a tattoo on his back of the USA Track and Field logo as a reminder of this goal to make the U.S. team.
